7/22/98: We woke early and spent the day walking about. Exploring on foot is the best way to get to know a city. Searched for a tourist info center. Found it, but it didn’t have all the info we needed so we went to the another one near Churchgate Train Station. Downtown Mumbai sits on a narrow peninsula, so it is easy to walk. Happily, we came across a number of significant sites accidentally! We ate at Mocambo Café, a tourist favorite.
NOTE: The Flora Fountain at Hutatma Smarak Chowk or “Martyrs Memorial Square” (Google street view link).
