7/24/98: Stayed in most of the day after such a busy tourism day yesterday. Finally received email from Roger H. about who to connect with here in Mumbai. Things in flux though. We ate a delicious dinner at a great vegan restaurant named Suvidha. While strolling back to the hotel we were stopped and engaged in a conversation by a man named Shyam. He was a law professor at Mumbai University. We ducked into a local café for coffee and chatted about faith, religion, politics, culture and more for over 2 hours. One thing he said struck me hard: “India has one thousand million people. So, it has one thousand million religions, one thousand million problems, one thousand million needs!”
