7/30/98: Breakfast at Picadilly, non-Indian food now seems rather dull… Tour boat to Elephanta Island and the “City of Caves”… Now ruins surrounded by lush jungle and wildlife, it was a marvel of Indian craftsmanship carved out of living rock between 450AD-750AD… The three-faced Hindu god Shiva is featured prominently in relief carvings on the walls…
