8/6/98: Immanuel showed us around Hyderabad today… Hussain Sagar (“Lake Hussain”) a man-made lake created during the Moghul Era… In the middle of the lake stands the 60-foot tall Buddha Purnhima… A Buddhist statue in a Islamic lake in a Hindu city once again highlights the diverse religious heritage of this country… Also visited Charminar (“Four Towers”) in Old Hyderabad, the Salar Jung Museum with 35,000 pieces on exhibit, and the Nehru Zoo…
