Expect Great Things From God

8/21/98: Visited Serampore College today, the school and ministry founded by William Carey (1761-1834), who expected great things from God… He so elevated those he came to serve that he is still highly regarded throughout India… Spent time with Manuj who shared his story about growing up as a “platform kid…” The “Pavement Club” children put on a special dance performance at a festive dinner held for a group of visitors from Los Angeles who partner with Emmanuel Ministries…

William Carey was a prodigious scholar who had expansive vision to share the Gosel and elevate the lives of those he served, and he had the unflagging energy required to attempt great things for God.
