12/21/98: Today was the suit fitting, and it needed adjustments… I also still haven’t figured out what to give Ruth for a Christmas gift, so I went shopping again too… We babysat Andy’s and Jill’s kiddos, so that they could go out to celebrate Jill’s birthday… Once the kids were in bed, Ruth and I watched a VHS movie called The Inn of the Sixth Happiness. It is a 1958 film featuring Ingrid Bergman, based on the life of Gladys Aylward, a missionary to China from 1930 to 1948. The movie took some liberties to bring the story to the screen, but the harrowing adventures are justly portrayed…
